Big Scale Rubbish fly tipping at Travellers Camp

Travellers have been camped up where the Bill Everette centre used to be, are making residents lives a misery.

Travellers who have been camped up where the Bill Everette centre used to be have turned it into a rubbish dump.

This has made local residents fearing any confrontation and hazard.

One resident who did wished to remain anonymous said "I felt the police missed this in the morning when he called them. They could have stopped this sooner."

"This whole week has been an absolute nightmare for us. We hardly open the curtains facing that end. We are ensuring that someone always stays inside the house for fear of trespassing."

At least one neighbour has expressed frustration and is exploring whether to move out of the area with their family.

Since the large scale dumping today even we discussed about staying out in a B&B for the weekend. The police have been excellent so far. However, the delays are probably from the Hertfordshire council or the court in issuing the eviction order on time.

Now our biggest worry is the cleaning of the site after the eviction. The place is starting to stink and hence we request the authorities to get started on this right away without any delays.
