Police have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed to death in north west London.

 

The 18-year-old, who has been named locally as Moumen Settar, was found suffering from knife wounds at an address in Buddings Circle, on Saturday afternoon at 1.35pm.

 

Teenager was the 14th young person to be killed this way in capital this year.

 

Police officers, paramedics and an Air Ambulance were called to the address but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

They found an 18-year-old who had been repeatedly stabbed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police say they believe they know the identity of the teenager but are waiting for formal identification before they name him.

 

Mr Settar lived at the house with his parents and two younger sisters.

 

His family have been told of his death.

 

A post-mortem was held yesterday and gave the cause of death as stab wounds.

 

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and detained on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a north London police station.
